Took the truck down Chuckanut Drive today. Code brown many times. I ensured I didn’t hold up any sportscars. Saw some Porches, Corvettes and a Mini JCW doing the drive.

Cool, I'm going to plan on doing that drive before winter.  Go up Friday night, hotel, wake up early and drive, get back home.

I spent over two hours driving up 101 last night and fel l in love with driving again. Almost 200 miles on my car up to nearly 7k.

I agree, though at this point it’d be a Ram commercial, but that’s alright, it just means more shots of the hood ornament.

Not sure if I brought it up before, but many moons ago I drove a 1983 Ram longbed with the 318 that was a similar style . Different grill, instead of the single prominent vertical and horizontal bars it was more of a regular waffle-style. The outside mirrors used a single arm with a ball joint. P lain steel wheels that had originally had covers . H eavy rear bumper, non-chromed, diamond plate top panel (dealer-installed option, I think) . T he front bumper might have been straight rather than having that slight bend in the center, but it’s been a long time. It looks like you’ve got the sliding rear window, which I didn’t have, but I did have the same wing (vent) windows in the doors that have vanished from newer vehicles . It was a 2-tone with black plastic trim pieces between the upper and lower paint, but those were mostly gone from driving through brush to get firewood. And a full-size spare tire always rode around in the bed, because back then tires still went flat rather than just getting slow leaks .

Years later, I drove a 1999 Ram 1500 5.9L regular cab longbed until it was a (literally) smoking wreck.
